I was born not long ago in Lancaster, UK, in 1944. I joined the Royal Air Force in 1962 spending the next 27 years with a marvellous band of brothers, and flying the world over in their company. Leaving the RAF in 1988, mainly through dogged ill-health, I spent the following 12 years with British Aerospace as Eurofighter PR and Marketing Executive, the last four of which were spent in Canberra, Australia, as Director of the Typhoon sales campaign.
In 2000, I very reluctantly bade farewell to Oz, retired from BAESystems, and retreated to the North of England, where I took up my dormant passion for oil painting.
